A young girl has trouble sleeping and asks her father for a bedtime story. He tells her the story of Nani, a fly named Nani, even though she is reluctant at first.
Nani, a young man from Hyderabad who specializes in fireworks preparation, is located in Hyderabad. Bindu, his neighbor, and a miniature artist, is in love with him. Project 511 is a non-governmental organization (NGO). Bindu has romantic feelings for Nani, even though they don’t express them.
Bindu visits Sudeep, a powerful industrialist who is wealthy and finds her attractive, to raise funds for her NGO. He becomes her friend, gives her Rs1.5 million (US$21.3 Thousand), and earns her trust. Sudeep views Nani as a rival and plans to kill him. Nani assists Bindu in finishing a piece of micro-art, a locket made of a pencil.
Sudeep kidnaps Nani and kills him while he is returning home. It makes his death seem like an accident. Bindu, unaware of the situation, proposes to Nani via phone. It is the last thing Nani hears until he is reincarnated in a housefly that cannot remember its past lives.
When it meets Sudeep and Bindu, the fly’s memory gets activated, and it begins to take revenge on Sudeep. Sudeep requests that Bindu, who is heartbroken, accompany him to New Delhi to meet with the education minister. Suppose she can impress the minister by presenting about the NGO’s activities. In that case, it might be possible to help the organization gain national recognition.
Sudeep is paranoid after the fly causes him to have an accident while going to the airport. Bindu is grieving Nani’s passing in her bedroom when the fly appears and writes on the desk. Sudeep learns that Nani has been reincarnated as an insect from a sorcerer and vows revenge. Sudeep plans to kill Nani in his home, but the fly escapes after causing an electrical short circuit. This also causes a fire that locks the room. Sudeep is unconscious from the smoke after the sorcerer is accidentally killed.
Nani and Bindu believe that Sudeep has died, but his business partner saves him. Sudeep becomes furious when he discovers that Bindu is saving the fly. To collect Rs7 billion (US$99.4million) in insurance, Sudeep murders his business partner. He also wants to stop his investors from taking action against his company.
Sudeep brings Bindu to his house to question her. Nani also follows them. After trying to stab Sudeep using a razor blade to her face, Bindu is now in danger. Sudeep demands Nani appear. Nani injures Sudeep with the needle during the encounter. After a fierce fight, Nani is stabbed with the same needle by the latter. In an attempt to kill Sudeep, Nani wraps himself in gunpowder, jumps through a flame, and into a loaded cannon.
Sudeep is hit by the projectile, and it hits an oxygen cylinder. This causes a powerful explosion that leaves Sudeep dead and his house burning. Bindu, a grieving woman who escaped the fire without injury, pines for Nani. He takes his wing and makes an omen with it. A fly eve disturbs Bindu as she travels to work one day.
