Story of Movie JOLLY L.L.B. 2

It’s the year 2016; Jagdishwar “Jolly” Mishra (Akshay Kumar) is a Lucknow lawyer who lives together with his spouse Pushpa (Huma Qureshi) and son. While he is a lawyer, Jonny works as a menial associate to one of Lucknow’s most well-known lawyers in Lucknow and Lucknow, the late Mr. Rizvi, for whom his father worked as an assistant for the last 30 years. The young man is classy and dreams of having his own law firm. In order to secure funds for his own chambers, Jolly lies to a widow, Hina Qasim, telling her that Mr. Rizvi will handle her case and the fee will be 200000 rupees. If Hina realizes that she was deceived by Jolly and commits suicide, she takes her own life. Jolly finds out that her husband, Iqbal Qasim, was killed during a fake encounter on the 13th of August in 2015, the following day after their wedding, by the police inspector Suryaveer Singh, who depicted the man in the form of Mohammed Iqbal Quadri, a terrorist in official documents. Singh also killed another fellow police officer, Bhadouria, who was trying to prove that the incident was real, which led to his murder.

Feeling guilty, Jolly decides to fight Hina’s case and files a PIL. Singh is then able to hire Lucknow’s most renowned advocate Pramod Mathur (Annu Kapoor), to represent him. After being sternly rebuked by Jolly for his blunders in making the PIL and the lack of evidence, Justice Sunderlal Tripathi (Saurabh Shukla) assigns an appointment for the hearing and cautions Jolly to gather some evidence prior to the hearing.

Jolly is able to obtain the FIR and other documents pertaining to the incident with the help of a bookie Guru Ji, in Varanasi by paying him Rs500,000 after selling his chamber. Then, he’s able to trace Ram Kumar Bhadauria, the son of the constable killed during the fake encounter. This is a backfire as Mathur utilizes his influence and money to manipulate the narco-test video of the witness. But, even when Justice Tripathi orders disciplinary action against Jolly because he has shown allegedly fraudulent evidence, however, the chairman of the Discipline Committee, who turns out to be Mr. Rizvi himself, gives Jolly the time of four days to prove his claim and also feel guilty for not defending the case by himself.

Jolly and Pushpa, when they are analyzing their wedding albums from Hina, and Iqbal Qasim, find an unidentified police officer from Kashmir known as Fahim Butt. Jolly is on the road to Kashmir and receives confirmation of that fact from Fahim, an officer who went to Lucknow to find out who was the terrorists during Iqbal Qasim, along with Hina’s wedding. Fahim, who is detained and incarcerated in a fake investigation, confirms that Qasim, who was killed during the attack, wasn’t the actual terrorist and that he had also lodged an accusation against Singh. Jolly is able to flee together with Fahim in Lucknow. In the meantime, Jolly coaxes the police commissioner V.K Paul to reveal the truth, or otherwise, he’ll make a PIL against all encounters that he has conducted. Mathur is trying to obstruct Fahim from making an opening statement to the court. He also impedes hearing in the courtroom by sitting on the floor to protest. Justice Tripathi also sits on the floor and refuses to accept Mathur’s tactic.

In the early hours of the midnight hour, Justice Tripathi ignores Mathur’s plea and decides to go the case. Following Fahim’s declaration, Jolly, with help from Paul and Paul, introduces Quadri with a fake identity to appear as a Brahmin Pandit. In the beginning, despite some resistance of Justice Tripathi, Jolly rapidly poses questions to Iqbal, inquiring about the details regarding the Shastras. Iqbal eventually admits that he was the one who committed the crime, Quadri, and had been bribed by Singh to allow him to be set free. Justice Tripathi then declares Iqbal Qasim innocent and orders his arrest. He sentences him to life to Singh and his accomplices for murder and erasing evidence, deceiving the court, and providing fake evidence in the event that Jolly prevails in the case.
